Many people get confused between Tramadol and Ultram, well read on and you will be confused no longer. Patients who are prescribed Tramadol and then find that they are given Ultram, wrongly believe that they have been given the wrong drug. Ultram was originally developed as a pain killer in the 1970s, as with most medications Ultram was eventually sold under the name of Tramadol as well. Ultram is the generic form of Tramadol and Tramadol is just a particular brand name of the same drug. Do some research online and you will often find the two terms used interchangeably. So if your pharmacist or online supplier gives you Ultram, it is the same as Tramadol. |
